I’m On One [Squared]: Two New Remixes

Today I have two remixes of “I’m On One” by Lil Wayne, Drake, and Rick Ross. I was skeptical of the original version of this song because I’m not really into the rap scene nowadays. But, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I like it, and these remixes are no exception.

I’m One One – KillaGraham Remix

I’m On One – Styles&Complete Remix

Check the SoundCloud players, download one or download them both. Enjoy.

“Country Road”: Pretty Lights Does It Again

I’ve been a big fan of Pretty Lights’ laid back, jazzy hip hop style for quite some time now. This track, blending bass, acoustic guitar, the ever popular “bass wobble,” and even John Denver’s voice simply delivers.

Give it a listen. Don’t forget to download in the SoundCloud player.

It’s a Rainy Day: Dubstep Content

It’s raining today, and I’ve been a bit lazy in looking for new content as of late. But I wouldn’t want to keep any of you waiting, would I? Of course not.

Here are a few songs that I’ve had on repeat lately. Enjoy.

Alright, I’ve Changed My Mind: Time for What You Want – Brenton Duvall

Alright, I don’t know if you guys remember Brenton Duvall, but I sort of hated on him in a post I made a while ago. This song changes things…

I’m a big fan of Biggie Smalls, and who could forget the one hit wonder “Closing Time” by Semisonic? Well, I don’t think there’s a way anybody could envision a mashup between the two, but Brenton Duvall did, and made one. There isn’t much else to do now but enjoy the awesomeness.

Download it here.

Sick Sick Synth: White Noise’s Remix of “Bang Bang” by Nancy Sinatra

This song by White Noise just popped up in my feed on YouTube yesterday, and I’ve kept it on repeat ever since. I’m not the type to play a song over and over again, but I’m in love with it. It’s haunting yet energetic, synthy, bassy, and upbeat. Hope you guys and gals enjoy it as much as I do.

You want it? You got it.

Dubstep Mini-Feature: Bar 9

I’m going to be honest here, there isn’t much I know about Bar 9. I feel like I should know more because I have a few remixes in my iTunes library, but after hearing such great tracks, I didn’t really care about anything else.

Bar 9’s Facebook as well as their myspace (who uses that anymore?) have pretty much zilch in terms of information. They’re from the UK though, and all you need to know, is that’s where all the good dubstep comes from. Here are two of my favorites. Enjoy.

Something Newer: “Unorthodox” (Bar 9 Remix)

Something Older: “Kickstarts” (Bar 9 Remix)

Dubstep of the Day: “Rock it Roll it (Dirtyloud Dubstep Remix)” – Tim Healey and Calverton

Usually I wouldn’t update so soon, but I came upon this track on Quantum DnB’s YouTube page and I loved it so much that I had to share.

I like dubstep a lot; not necessarily the really “noisy” tracks, but a solid bass wobble and maybe some vocals (and of course the drop!), and I can get really sucked in if it all works in harmony. This track does just that.

Do yourself a favor and listen in HD. Your ears will thank you.  Download this awesome track!

The Coolest Poser Ever: Blow the Skrilla (feat. Skrillex and Too $hort)

Okay, Brenton probably wouldn’t appreciate me calling him a poser. So that statement is revoked, but I’m just really not into sampling most of the time. (By the way Brenton, we cool?)

Although I don’t think it’s the most original track because of so much sampling from Skrillex, but I do have to say that I appreciate how mellowed out and laid back it is.

But enough of me talking…er..typing. Here it is. Good song.

If you want to check out more of Brenton Duvall, check out his facebook. Oh, and don’t forget, if you want the track, it’s here.
